The Genesis Story

How the podcast came to be

Jamie was the CMO at Connect The Dots and founded the podcast with Annie Riley, a family friend. Jon Itkin was also at the center of this genesis story. We’re all passionate about help people find career growth and human connection. Drew the CEO of Connect The Dots, was gracious enough to let us carry the podcast forward and see where we we could take it. We’re embarking on Season Two and have big dreams! We look forward to building our tribe of people that love the concept, and want to hear more diverse and inspiring stories, of growth, perseverance, and humility.

Why are we passionate about telling this story

1.

It’s about showing gratitude and helping others

Each episode focuses on reverse engineering the guests career to identify who helped you along the way, and what they’ve learned that they can pass along.

2.

It’s about the importance of human connection

How we make friends, stay in touch with people, and bring folks together all tie back to universal desires. If we can inspire people, we’ve made a difference in this world.

3.

It’s about sharing career advice and tips for job searches

These days, everyone knows someone who has gone through a career transition. The inspirational stories we’re able surface and the practical advice on how to build relationships is incredibly valuable.

4.

It’s about demystifying how people and networks work

Working hard, making yourself useful, pursuing an idea, and recognizing who got you to where you are today.

We don’t always have an open slot for the podcast, but tell us who you think we should have on the show!
