Why is she on our inspiration board?

Brandee Barker is one of the most sought-after image consultants around. She's created narratives and coached CEOs at companies including AirBnB, Dropbox, Facebook, Groupon, Spotify, Square, and Uber. Brandee led the communications strategy for Sheryl Sandberg’s book “Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead.” And she has taken an active role on a wide range of social movements and responses to global crisis, ranging from Woman in Tech, to the US withdraw in Afghanistan, to Tony Hawk's The Skatepark Project.

Where is he from?


She grew up in Southern California, and went to the University of Colorado Boulder's school of Journalism.

Big break in life

It came when she joined Facebook as its first Head of Global Communications and Public Policy, helping the company grow from five million college users to 500 million users worldwide. Sheryl Sandberg, the chief operating officer for Facebook, once wrote, “People want to work with her because of her great media relationships and the energy and commitment she brings to everything she does.”
