Founder of Tipping Point, San Francisco Mayor
I first got to know Daniel while he was running Tipping Point, a Bay Area non-profit that he started in 2005. Since it's inception Tipping Point has invested over $440 million in community intervention, policy change, and new ideas. If his career had ended there, that would have been an amazing outcome, but he's gone on to become the Mayor of San Francisco. I can say I knew him when we use to bump into each other with BabyBjörn on in the bagel shop. He's a very humble person who's been fighting for good causes for many years. We could all learn something from Daniel, which is why we'd love to have him on the show.
San Francisco, California
Daniel was born into the good fortune of the Haas family (Levi Strauss), but he couldn't be more humble and mission driven. His focus for 18 years was building the Tipping Point Community into one of the most well respected nonprofits with a score of 97% from Charity Navigator. By helping over 200 organizations, and impacting the lives of over 90,000 people last year alone, it's no wonder how Daniel developed the relationships to win San Francisco's mayors race in 2024.
When you look the institutions someone has been a part of, it gives you a window their network, and the types of people they know.
Your voices and your call for accountable leadership, service, and change have been heard.
Relationships are everything. You can’t do anything alone. You need to build a team and have people around you who are smarter than you and who can push you.
You have to be willing to take risks and fail. Failure is part of the process, and you learn more from your failures than your successes.
We’d love to have
