Why is she on our inspiration board?

I know Kirsten a little bit from my San Francisco days, and we'll try to have her on the podcast. She was on Time's 100 Most Influential People and Forbes' World's 100 Most Powerful Women. She was also listed on Forbes' Midas List for several consecutive years. She's invested in companies that many of us have heard of including Dollar Shave Club, Bonobos, Curated, and many others. Kirsten also has the vantage point of having sat on Nordstrom's board for the last six years. It's be an amazing conversation to hear her story, and who helped her along the way.

Where is she from?


She grew up in San Francisco and and went to UCLA where she got her Bachelors in Business Economics.

Big break in life

Her significant breakthrough came in 2010 when she founded Forerunner Ventures, a venture capital firm that has since raised over $2 billion and invested in more than 100 companies, including notable names like Warby Parker and Glossier. In 2022, Forerunner Ventures announced a $1 billion Fund VI, comprising a $500 million vehicle for early-stage investing and a $500 million vehicle for growth, reflecting the firm's commitment to evolving consumer needs and technological advancements.
